in digital mileage correction and speedo recalibration
on all vehicle dashboards (including bikes & vans),
Bmw tv activation and diesel performance chips. We

nationwide. Our aim is to carry out work to full customer

the latest under bonnet technology.
What
is digital mileage correction
Modern
cars have electronic dashboards with digital odometer
displays. The car manufacturers use these because
they are cheaper to produce than a mechanical dashboard
and easier to fit into the car as there is no mechanical speedometer cable. This new technology
has its own problems though. Electrical pulses in
the cars wiring can cause the dashboard data, which
is stored internally on an EEPROM (Electrically Erasable
Programmable Read Only Memory), to become corrupted.
This corruption
could happen for a number of reasons:
• the vehicle
battery was discharged and the vehicle had been jump
started
• the dashboard
may develop an electrical fault
• the dashboard
may be damaged in a collision or through vandalism.
In these examples,
the corruption of the information held in the EEPROM
may mean that the mileage displayed on the speedo
is now incorrect.
Dashboard
correction may also be necessary where a replacement
cluster has been purchased, either new or second hand.
If it's a new one it will have zero miles on it. If
it's a second hand one the mileage displayed is also
likely to be different to the original thus requiring
correction.
What
is mileage recalibration?
Recalibration becomes necessary when the instrument dials on your
dashboard malfunction. For example, the fuel gauge may be showing 1/4 full
after you have filled the vehicle up, or it may even stop working
altogether.
This can also happen to other
gauges and dials. On the other hand, you may wish to have the odometer
changed from mileage display to kilometre
display or vice versa.
That's where we can help by
electronically recalibrating the dashboard to either restore faulty gauges
and dials, or to change miles to KM and vice versa.
Our mileage correction service
We
offer a service which cannot be matched by anyone
else because we have invested in the latest German
hand held equipment specifically designed for mileage
correction. Some of our competitors use
PC based software which wipes all the information
off the memory chip including additional details,
such as chassis numbers and VIN numbers. Our method
leaves that information intact. Additionally, all
of our work is guaranteed. Most cars are easily calibrated
without the need to remove the clock cluster. Whats more this process cannot be traced.
Legal
Adjusting a vehicles digital milometer / odometer
is not illegal. It only becomes illegal if you knowingly
sell the vehicle without disclosing the correction
in the speedoreading.
Other
services
Our other services include video in motion, unlocking
your factory fitted television so that your passengers
may watch the TV while the car is in motion. At this
moment this service is only available for bmw,
new range rover, mini and rover
75,45,25. audi, vw, seat, mercedes and the porsche
cayenne.
The lexus soarer and the LS400 have a common fault
where the dashboard lights will go blank, we can repair
this at a cost of £200, which is cheaper than
a £1000 new instrument cluster from lexus dealers,
the speedo light sometimes can come back on when car
is warm, sometimes its the bottom half of the dash
lights that go off and sometimes its the upper part
