Things drivers usually ask.

Can you do mileage correction on a classic car?

If the cluster is electronic (most cars from the late 80s onwards), yes — same process as modern. For purely mechanical odometers we work case by case; some are accessible, some aren't. Send the make, model and year, and we'll tell you honestly.

My project car has a swapped cluster from a different year. Help?

Common restoration scenario. We can set the swapped cluster to your true mileage as part of the wiring-in. We can also check whether the cluster will communicate properly with your ECU and other modules before you commit — useful if you're still planning the build.

Will the corrected reading hold its value?

Yes — once set, the mileage will continue to count from that figure as you drive. We test by simulating a few miles before we leave, so you see it counting correctly before paying.

Can you provide paperwork for the restoration file?

Yes. We provide a written note documenting the original reading, the corrected reading, what work was done, and the date. Useful for your build file, insurance valuation, or a future sale.

Do you come to a workshop or just home addresses?

Workshops are absolutely fine — many restoration jobs are done at independent garages, classic specialists, or storage units. Just give us the postcode and we'll come to you.

What if the engine has been swapped or rebuilt?

Engine swaps don't directly affect mileage correction — the cluster, ECU and gateway are what we work with. But if you've fitted a different ECU (say, from a donor car), we can sync its stored mileage to match the chassis. Send the build details and we'll talk through the right approach.
