    First step is to read what is in the existing BDC2 (if it is readable) and what state the donor module is in. This tells us what data needs migrating and confirms the donor is suitable for your specific car.

    Donor module virginised, coded to your VIN, immobiliser data programmed, ISN sync established with the DME, mileage aligned, keys re-coded. Every step verified before moving to the next.

What is the BMW BDC2 module?
BDC2 is the second-generation Body Domain Controller fitted to G-Series BMWs and later F-Series cars. It handles keys, immobiliser, lighting, comfort access, central locking, and many body electronics. It replaces the earlier FEM/BDC module from the first F-Series cars and uses tighter security. Replacing one needs proper programming and adaptation to your VIN.
Can you programme a used BDC2 from a breaker?
Yes. Used BDC2 modules from breakers can be adapted to your car. We virginise the donor module to wipe its previous VIN, then code it to your car including key sync, ISN reading and mileage adjustment. The car accepts the used module as if it were new.
Which BMW models use the BDC2 module?
All G-Series BMWs (G20, G30, G05, G07, G11 and all current models) use BDC2. Some later F-Series cars also use BDC2 instead of the earlier FEM/BDC — particularly later production runs from around 2017 onwards including some F30, F31, F45 and F48 models. MINI F60 Countryman with BDC2 is also covered.
Can you reset the mileage stored in a BDC2?
Yes — BDC2 mileage reset is supported. This is typically needed after installing a used BDC2 module so the car displays consistent mileage across all modules. Mileage correction must always be carried out lawfully and the new value should reflect the car's actual recorded mileage.
